What does ONMV-Africa do?
ONMV-Africa® is a registered for-profit developmental bussiness group established for rural electrification in Ethiopia and other East African Nations. It is also endebited to build a new generation of readers-idol and innovators in Africa by transmitting knowledge and skills of applied science and technology to solve problems at personal, local, national and global contexts.
Our Mission
To build a stronger Africa by distributing clean electric energy to the rural community and creating a culture of reading books, team work and innovation among the new generation through applied scientific, technology and engineering methods.
Our Vision
To give a special commitment for rural PV and Wind electrification and to promote scientific literacy, reading books, team work, innovation and job creation among the young generation in Ethiopia and other East African nations.
It is known that Africa is one of the most resourceful
and biggest continents globally. The majority of its population is engorged with the young
generation with an excellent working and intellectual capacity to lead the future of the
continent.This is exactly where ONMV-Africa is focused, to invest in the new generation for
a
bettter tomorrow in Africa and the world. Our organization is established in 2017 with an
idea to build the life skills and innovative capacities of this group of the society.
For that, the energy sector is the key to solve the preliminary challenges in creativity and
time management. Wherever energy is accessible, there always is the freedom to try and
practice once innovative ideas that can change the perspective in ones future. Fortunately,
Africa is lucky to have a full year access to solar
and wind energy as the cheapest sources of electicity and job creation. Hence we are excited
to invest our time, money, skills and intellectual
capacities to bring access to electiricity in Ethiopia and other East African nations. In
parallel, we will also be working to improve the reading culture of this same generation in
Ethiopia. This will also be backed up by enhancing the home and family based practice in
scientific, engineering and technology skills which will be spiced by a strong teamwork
culture. As more than 85% of Ethiopia's society lives in the rural areas, our efforts mainly
focus on the electification of the rural, establishment of rural innovation and reading
centers will be the pillars of our investment group principal goals. Creating jobs, seeing a
culture of innovation and a generation with an interest for knowledge and reading will be
our milestone in Ethiopia and Africa overall. We strongly believe multinational and
multisectoral strategic partnerships and collaborations are the key to our success. We are
also lucky that we have got a vibrant and committed team of
experts who are dedicated to realize the mission and vision of
